Prayer
An early morning prayer group meets weekly at Knapdale on Tuesdays at 6:45am. Come along and join us. we are praying with expectant hearts that God is going to do great things this year. We have been praying for rainfall in January and seen God water our crops and land, to Him be the glory, great things to come....... Our creator still caring for us and His creation since the begining of earth. I encourage people to come along to this as this prayer ministry is part of the back bone of our church where we will give thanks to God for what he has done, but also hear what the Holy Spirit has to say to our parish, and to pray for the different things He places on our hearts.
William Carey was a forerunner for modern missions in India had this to say about results.
“Attempt great things for God,
expect great things from God.”
The year ahead is exciting and we are expecting great things from God as we seek His heart and direction
for us.

Missions
Both local and overseas missions are an important focus for many in the parish. Many are supporters of the Waidale Missionary Trust which is a large livestock trading scheme that supports over 40 New Zealand and overseas mission organisations through finance and prayer and the Waikaka Missionary Support Group that has a real heart for prayer and financial support of overseas missionaries.
Women's Fellowship
Meets monthly and has a varied programme which aims to balance fellowship, study, prayer, local outreach and overseas mission. They do a lot of catering in the local area as well as coordinating the Welcome Packages which are distributed to new members of the community who come on Gypsy Day (June 1st). The packages include gifts of food as well as information about local community life.
Managers
Managers meet quarterly. They oversee the financial and building matters of the parish, inlcuding the stock trading (WYMOK) and crop schemes. Currently there are 12 managers.
Session
Session meets monthly and the 16 elders are responsible for different areas of parish life in which they share the pastrol oversight with the minister. Session also has the responsibilty of organising chapel services once every 3 months at homes for the elderly in Gore.
